As a co-host / manager of several properties, the basic house rules are provided below.  These rules reflect primarily with locations that provided 'shared accommodations'.   The 'NO POLICE' rule is a must in EVERY LOCATION.  If a police is called to any property, whether you are lost, loud noises, they want to be nice to you and take you home, etc....YOU WILL NOT BE LET INTO THE PROPERTY and that day will be your last day.   So NO POLICE.

No Hanky Panky!

  • ​No Hanky Panky!  

Be respectful of the locations that you are staying.  If you need do the 'hanky panky', get a hotel.

Shoes Off / Perfumes

  • BRING Flip Flops or indoor shoes!

​All outdoor shoes must be removed upon entry.  There are shoe cubical at each door entry.  You may keep your shoes on if you would like to pay $25 Cleaning Fee.  Otherwise bring flip flops or extra socks!

 

  •  Perfumes/Colognes

If you are in a SHARED room, PLEASE DO NOT spray on your perfume or male cologne (i.e. AXE) in the room.  Put it on a common area outside or the bathroom... NOT in the shared bedroom.  Some have triggered other people's asthma attacks with their perfume.  So smell pretty in the open...not in the shared bedrooms!

Kitchen

  • CLEAN your dishes!  Load your wet dishes in the dishwasher.  If the dishwasher is 'running', then place them back in the pantry.  Leave the utensils (or items that touch your lips), leave those in the sink if the dishwashter is 'running'.  

 

  • WASH YOUR POTS after you cook so others may use them.  

 

  • If you are cooking with HIGH heat, and you are not in the room watching your cooking dish, the fire under your pots will be turned off for security reasons!

  • CLEAN UP AFTER COOKING!  Clean the counter, microwave, stove, sweep floor when you're done.  

​

  • Put your leftovers in plastic containers, not regular dishes before putting them in the refrigerator.

​

  • AFTER 11 p.m. -   You may cook in the kitchen, however,  you will need to deposit a refundable $15.  If you do not clean the kitchen the same as you began, the amount will not be refunded.

NO POLICE

Sometimes 'Officer Friendly' may SEEM like he want to help you and bring you home.  That is fine if you feel a need to.  They may be your friend, but NOT MINES.  So do not bring them to any home that you are a guest.

 

Follow my instructions as to arriving and there will be no need for their assistance.  IF YOU CAN'T follow the directions, then take a TAXI and I will later instruct you on getting to and from the nearest train safely.

 

DO NOT BRING THE POLICE INTO MY HOME!   IF YOU SHOULD BRING THEM TO MY HOME, then you will be leaving with them.  

 

LOCK THE GATE!

 

When you enter my property, make sure that the gate is shut and locked!  If a police or any uninvited person enters the property due to you not locking the gate,

YOU WILL BE REMOVED

from my property immediately!  

Property is monitored by video cameras.

 

NO SMOKING

WASHER / DRYER

There is coin operated

washer and dryer on the premise.

Washer - $2.00 per load

Dryer - $1 per load



Detergent Included



No smoking inside the house.  

There is plenty of park space or yard area to smoke.

Bathroom

  • PLEASE SHOWER!  My participating hosts have complained that many travellers who have been on the road and when they arrive, go straight to bed...without showering.  Thats nasty!  I don't care if you arrive at midnight....before you go to bed, please take a shower.  Its perfectly fine!

  • NO SHARING SHOWERS!  

 I don't care if you are 2 girls, girl / guy, etc....Only one person in the bathroom/shower.

 

  • ​Hang wet towels on hooks in your designated sleeping area.  

  Do not leave your towels on the back of the bathroom door.  Take it with you to your room.  

​

  • Clean bathroom sink after brushing.  Sponge with handle is located on the back of toilet top.  

 

  • DO NOT brush teeth in KITCHEN SINK or in the HALLWAY while waiting for the bathroom!  Nonya HATES that! BRUSH YOUR TEETH IN THE BATHROOM OVER THE SINK!

  • Keep shower liner inside the tub and shower curtain outside of the tub

 

  • DO NOT USE the shower as a urinal or toilet!  

(No peeing, no craping, no anything!!!! JUST BATHING!  Totally DISGUSTING!)

 

 There are 2 toilettes and 2 bathrooms... please use them!

  • FREE breakfast (uncooked rice, beans and pasta) is included with your stay in most places!

​

At each location there, is an 'alloted' area where food will be available.  Food may be limited in each location!  So don't be greedy and eat other people's portions!   Your host will let you know what is available.

After 11 p.m....

  • ​Sometimes we're so excited from our adventures on the town and we just like to keep the party going.  But we don't want to disturb those that are sleeping or trying to sleep.  So....

 

  • After 11p.m. lights out!  Check with your host for 'hangout' areas after 11p.m.

 

  • Telephone conversations:  Please carry your conversations OUT of the bedrooms.

Bedrooms

  • Do not enter other rooms you are not assigned to.    You may ONLY enter another guests' room if ALL of the other guests, who share that room, say it is 'ok' (for that moment).  

 

  • No sharing bed with guests you DID NOT arrive with.  

 

This is primarily for security reasons.

  • All extended stays MUST pre-pay based on the number of days of your extension.  All rates will apply as such.  No exceptions.

 

(Nonya realize that sometimes your money has finished before your trip.  Feeling the 'warmth' will not mean that Nonya will be incline to allow you to stay further because of reasons such as:  you didn't get paid yet for your new job; still looking for a job; dog ate your money....etc.  Please remember that the only place you can not pay rent is with your parents...not here.  So if you foresee a shortness in funds, be a grownup and contact your own parents or friends to send you additional funds.  We do not offer a homeless shelter.)

 

Extended Stays

Please DO NOT walk around half naked in any location.  Dress yourself (especially after showering) in the bathroom/shower area.

 

This will help prevent anyone from being aggressive in behavior or 'acting out' from their indecent thought.  I have had previous guests removed because of aggression in behavior.  So if you are the 'cause' of such or the aggressor, you will be asked to leave.
