From Downtown TO Nonya's

To GREEN LINE 'Halsted' STOP

  1. Upon leaving the house, turn right.

  2. Walk a block to 63rd street

(You will see a Citgo gas station, to the right, on the south east corner.  The bus stop is across the street, to the left, on the south west corner, parallel to the gas station....same side of the gas station.  There is a bench by the blue and white bus stop sign).

  3. Take the '63' bus to 'Halsted' street...4 blocks away.  It is a 10 minute walk (2 street lights away - to the right).   If you want to take the 'Red line' train, stay on the bus and exit at Wentworth.

  4. Exit the bus and walk to the right (on Halsted street).  Across the street you will see the entrance to the Green Line train station in the Kennedy King College.

  5. Proceed up the staircase, to the right, once you have entered the Green Line station.

The train takes approximately 30 minutes to downtown.

SHORT WALKING DIRECTIONS TO TRAIN:  Turn Right upon exiting the house; turn right at the FIRST light (63rd street); turn right after 2 lights (Halsted street).  10 minutes walking.  (I do not recommend walking from the train to my home at night.  Its fine for the daytime.)
